The Chirundu border post connects Zimbabwe and Zambia along the Lower Zambezi River. For travellers heading north through southern Africa, it is one of the most commonly used crossings on the continent.

Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity remaining). KAZA Univisa: Covers both Zambia and Zimbabwe for 30 days. Available at Chirundu on arrival. Cost: $50 USD.
Best Time to Cross
Early morning is by far the best time to cross — arrive before 8am if you can.
